Jamal’s family does not know that he is gay, nor that he lives with his partner. Jamal had an affair that has ended but is feeling very guilty. Dan does not know about the affair. He says it is the biggest mistake of his life and feels tremendous guilt for hurting Dan. He has come from a conservative family and is under pressure to find a female partner and thinks the family will reject him if he tells them that he is gay. He is very confused and distressed about the affair, his family and his future but he tells you he is sure he wants to be with Dan forever.
